82. Notice of certain disease
: (1) Where any working in an establishment contacts any disease specified
in the second schedule, the employer or the worker concerned or any person
authorized by him in this behalf shall send notice thereof to the Inspector in
such prescribed form and within such time as may be prescribed by Rules.
(2) If any
registered medical practitioner attends on a person who is, or has been
employed in an establishment and who is, or is believed by such medical
practitioner to be, suffering from any disease specified in the second
Schedule, the medical practitioner shall, without delay, send a report in
writing to the chief Inspector stating-
(a) the name and
postal address of the patient;
(b) the disease
from which he believes the patient to be suffering;
(c) the name and
address of the establishment in which the patient is or was last employed.
(3) The
Government may add to or subtract from the Second Schedule any disease by
notification in the official Gazette.
